Junk removal prices in Etobicoke

We price by the load, not by the hour. One or two items is $119. A 1/8 load, about 2 cu yd, is $169. A 1/4 load is $259, a 1/2 load is $389, and a full load of about 16 cu yd is $599. Every price is in CAD and before 13% HST.

Each tier includes a weight allowance, from 100 kg on the minimum up to 1,000 kg on a full load. If the scale ticket comes in over the allowance, the extra weight is billed at $250 per tonne. Wet drywall, brick, soil and concrete are what push a job over, so mention them when you send photos.

A bungalow basement with old furniture, boxes and a workbench often fills a half load or more. We confirm the volume when we arrive, and you approve the price before anything is lifted. Same-day service is plus $50 when the day has room.

What the City collects at the curb in Etobicoke

Etobicoke is part of the City of Toronto, so the City's oversized and metal items collection applies. There is no booking. You set the item beside your garbage bin on your garbage day and leave 0.5 metres between items. The City page lists no limit on the number of items.

Every house and multi-residential unit pays an annual oversized and metal items fee, $23.23 for 2026, whether or not you use the service. If you have a single couch or a bed frame, curbside collection is already paid for. A paid pickup starts to make sense where the limits below get in the way.

  • Carpet and underpad must be rolled, cut and tied into bundles no longer than four feet and no heavier than 20 kg (44 lb).
  • Doors come off refrigerators, ovens and other appliances. Loose or heavy items must be taken apart, and sofa bed frames tied down so they do not spring open.
  • Mattresses and box springs are accepted at the curb. A mattress with bed bugs must be wrapped completely in plastic.
  • Not collected at the curb: construction, demolition and renovation waste (baseboards, bathtubs, cabinets, drywall, lumber, roof shingles), household hazardous waste and tires.

The Disco Road depot or a pickup

Etobicoke has one City drop-off depot, the Disco Drop-Off Depot at 120 Disco Road. Other items are accepted Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the depot is closed on weekends. Garbage and renovation waste costs $189.86 per tonne, with a $19 minimum that covers the first 100 kg and a deposit of at least $40 before you unload. The City's location page does not list metal or appliances at Disco Road. Bermondsey, Ingram, Dufferin and Commissioners take metal at $142.40 per tonne, free for loads under 20 kg.

Disco Road does not take drywall or mattresses. Clean drywall (up to 1 tonne, nails and screws removed) is accepted only at Bermondsey, Ingram and Commissioners. Mattresses go only to Commissioners and Dufferin. So an Etobicoke basement renovation means a drywall run out of the district. Concrete, brick, asphalt and soil are not accepted at any City depot.

As a rough guide, a load that weighs 500 kg costs about $95 in tipping fees at $189.86 per tonne, before the deposit, your vehicle and your time. A 1/2 load pickup from us is $389. Heavy material such as concrete, brick, soil or asphalt is from $350 per cu yd.

Common jobs by Etobicoke neighbourhood

Etobicoke covers a lot of ground, and the work changes between the lake and the north end.

Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch

Many homes along the lakeshore are older detached houses and bungalows with basements and detached garages. Common jobs are a basement clear-out before a renovation, a garage full of shelving and old tools, and carpet that has been down for decades. We pull carpet and pad at $0.75 per sq ft ($400 minimum). If the whole basement is coming apart, a partial strip-out is from $2,500, hauled in the same visit.

Paint, propane, chemicals and asbestos are not something we take. Homes built before about 1990 can have asbestos in vinyl tile, plaster and popcorn ceilings, and testing is the owner's cost. Work stops if we find suspect material.

Islington, the Kingsway and Humber Valley Village

Larger detached homes here tend to mean bigger jobs: a downsizing move, an estate clear-out, or a finished basement being emptied room by room. Those are often two or more loads, and we can plan them as one visit. Heavy furniture sets and sectional sofas are the common items, and photos of the stairs help us price the carry.

Rexdale and north Etobicoke

Apartment buildings and townhouse complexes mean move-out jobs: a sofa, a mattress, a dresser and a pile of boxes. A single mattress or box spring pickup is $99, and a fridge, freezer or air conditioner is plus $30 per unit for refrigerant handling. The City's oversized item page describes set-out beside a garbage bin and gives no separate steps for apartment buildings, so ask your property manager what your building allows.

Condos, towers and access

Humber Bay Shores, Mimico and Etobicoke City Centre have a growing number of condo towers. Most towers want a freight elevator booking, so make it before the day and tell us the window. Send a photo of the route from your unit to the elevator and the dock, because the carry is part of the job.

Some buildings limit move and delivery hours, so ask what applies to you before you pick a day. A loading dock or a visitor space near the entrance keeps the carry short.

How to book junk removal in Etobicoke

Send photos of the pile through the site. We reply with a price, you pick a day, and we lift and load. We are insured. Tell us about stairs, a long carry or a tight driveway so the quote is right the first time.

If a room needs to come apart first, tear-out and haul-away happen in the same visit, so there is no bin to rent and no second company. Our Toronto demolition work is on the demolition page.
