What junk removal costs in Mississauga

Pricing is by the load, not by the hour. A pickup of one or two items starts at $119, a 1/8 load is $169, a 1/4 load is $259, a 1/2 load is $389, and a full load of about 16 cubic yards is $599. A full load includes 1,000 kg. Every price is in Canadian dollars before 13% HST.

Weight over the allowance is billed at $250 per tonne from the scale ticket. That matters for old tile, plaster, wet carpet and a basement full of books, which are heavier than they look. Send photos and we will tell you up front if a pile is likely to go over.

Volume is confirmed when we arrive. If the pile matches the photos, the quote is the price.

What Peel collects at the curb in Mississauga

Garbage in Mississauga is still collected by Peel Region. Peel picks up acceptable bulky items from the curb for free on your regular garbage day. You do not book it. Put the items out by 7 a.m. Peel defines bulky waste as any large item that will not fit into a bin or a garbage bag, and its examples are furniture, mattresses and barbecues. Take the propane tank off a barbecue first and bring it to a Peel drop-off centre.

Peel's bulky item page gives a sample list, not a full one, and sets no item count. For anything you are unsure about, it points you to Peel's online waste sorter. If a couch and a mattress are the whole job, the curb is a reasonable route and costs nothing.

Large appliances are different. Peel says it no longer collects fridges, freezers, air conditioners and similar large metal appliances from the curb. They go to a Peel drop-off centre, where large appliances are accepted free of charge. Peel also suggests asking the retailer to take the old unit away when the new one is delivered.

The curbside arrangement has a date on it. Regional Council set October 1, 2027 for Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon to take over curbside garbage collection from Peel, and Mississauga's own notice says some collection days may change. Peel keeps the drop-off centres. Until then, the Peel rules above are the ones that apply.

Fewster, Battleford or a pickup

Mississauga has two Peel drop-off centres, called CRCs: Fewster at 1126 Fewster Drive and Battleford at 2255 Battleford Road. Fewster is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on statutory and provincial holidays. Check Peel's page for Battleford's hours before you go.

Plan for the rules before you load the car. Peel asks for proof that you live in Peel or own or work for a business that operates in Peel. Payment is by debit or credit card, with no cash. The minimum charge for a load of chargeable items is $7, and above that the rate is 14.5 cents per kilogram. Vehicles are limited to cars, vans, pickups, trailers up to 12 metres and box trucks or cube vans up to 5 metres, with vehicle and load together under 5 tonnes. Construction and renovation material carries fees, insulation has to be double bagged, and Peel does not accept asbestos.

The arithmetic is simple: a 200 kg load of chargeable material comes to $29 at the per-kilogram rate. The real cost is the afternoon. That means loading, the drive, the wait at the gate and unloading by hand.

  • Use the curb when it is a few bulky items and you can wait for garbage day.
  • Use a drop-off centre when you have a vehicle, proof of address and a free afternoon.
  • Book a pickup when the pile is big, heavy, in a basement or on an upper floor, or has to be gone by a set date.

Common jobs across Mississauga

Port Credit and Lakeview jobs are often a full-house reset: a sold or downsized home with furniture sets, bookcases and boxes that have sat in storage. Those tend to be half-load to full-load jobs, and the hard part is stairs and a tight driveway rather than the volume.

In Streetsville, Meadowvale and Erin Mills, a common job is a garage or a basement. Hockey bags, an old treadmill, a broken patio set, a second fridge and a decade of moving boxes add up fast. A treadmill or a sectional may qualify as a bulky item on paper, but it is heavy to move down stairs and out to the curb, which is where a pickup from inside the house earns its price.

Cooksville and Malton jobs are often a basement or back-room clear-out in an established home, where the pile has built up over years. We carry out from wherever the items are, so nothing has to be staged at the curb in advance.

A fridge, freezer or air conditioner is plus $30 per unit on top of the load price. A single mattress or box spring pickup is $99.

Condos, townhouses and getting the items out

City Centre and the towers along the main corridors work differently from a house. Many buildings ask residents to book the freight elevator and loading dock with management, and some limit the hours. Ask your management office for the window before you pick a date, and tell us the floor, the elevator size and where we may park.

Townhouse complexes bring their own limits: shared visitor parking, tight driveways and sometimes a condo board with rules on what may sit on common property. Pulling a pile to the curb the night before can break those rules, so we collect from inside the unit or the garage.

If you were thinking about a bin, the City of Mississauga requires a Temporary Road Occupation permit to put a waste bin or storage container on the road, sidewalk or boulevard, and the 2026 application fee is $100 plus 13% HST. A pickup avoids the permit and the days a bin sits in front of the house.

How to book in Mississauga

Send photos through the site, with the address and the floor. We reply with a price. If you need it gone sooner, same-day service is plus $50 when the schedule allows. We are insured.

We do not take paint, propane, chemicals or asbestos. Homes built before about 1990 can contain asbestos in plaster, vinyl tile, popcorn ceilings and drywall compound, so tell us if the pile includes old flooring or ceiling material.
